Frugal Money Saver    • Frugal Living In Real Time! Being Con...   Christmas breakfast casserole 1T olive oil 1 T butter Heat in pan. Add 8oz ham or sausage 1 small onion, diced small 1 green or red pepper or both! Salt/pepper 1/2t thyme 1/2t garlic powder Cook in pan till soft. Prepare a 9 x 13 pan with oil. I use coconut oil. Cut up bread of choice. I use sour dough (about 3/4 of a large loaf) You can use regular bread, or French bread or croissants) Cut up the bread in 1 inch chunks. Toss into prepared pan. Top with vegetable and ham mixture. Mix well. Whisk: 1 c milk, And 3/4 c 1/2 n 1/2. Or heavy cream 6 eggs 2 c shredded cheddar. You need 1 c for topping as well. Pour over bread mixture. Press down gently. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hr or allow to sit over night in fridge. Preheat 350 Place uncovered dish on counter for 10 min. Then add the 1 c cheese to top and pop into oven till golden and puffy. About 40 min. Check to be sure it’s done. Enjoy!! Potatoes in coconut oil Cut up 3 large potatoes Put 3 T of coconut oil in skillet 🍳 When hot add potatoes. Leave to sit for about 6 minutes. Gently turn over potatoes cook other side.
