Bird in Hand Bakery Amish Chocolate Chip Cookies Add: 2c organic unbleached AP flour 2t corn starch 1/2tbaking powder 1/2t baking soda 3/4t salt Whisk together well. Add: 3/4c brown sugar 1/4c white sugar 1/8tnutmeg (secret ingredient) Mix well. Make well in center and add: 1 stick soft butter 1 1/2t vanilla 1 LARGE EGG 1 egg yolk (If your eggs are small, add 2 whole eggs) Mix well. Add: 1 1/2c semi sweet chocolate chunks or choc chips. Shape into ball. Refrigerate, covered 30 min or up to a week. Shape with cookie scoop. Do not flatten. They will not spread. Bake 350 for 12 min. Allow to cool 5 min on sheets.
