Discovered the MOST BEAUTIFUL hiking trail in Madeira Island

The first and most beautiful hike in Madeira Island since coming back here. It is not hard to find a spectacular, off the beaten path hiking trail in Madeira. Hiking in Madeira this time is not for pure enjoyment this time. I am here to train for the Peaks of Europe, a project that will take me through EVERY country in Europe to climb its highest peak and what better place to train other than this? For the first hike I chose the mysterious north of Madeira and I was planning to go from Ribeira de Janela along the cliffs and then climb up to Fanal where I would pass the night and continue the next day to Funchal. Little that I know that my hike would be cut short before Seixal. I was forced to abandon the hike, but came up with another plan and discovered other beautiful trails near Funchal that I was completely unaware of.
