It is one of the most delicious prawn recipes in Bengali. Learn this easy step by step recipe and make this chingri macher recipe at home. Ingredients of Prawn Curry: 1. Prawn / Chingri Mach (300 gm). 2. Potato (2 medium sizes). 3. Chopped onion (2 medium sizes). 4. Sliced tomato (2 medium sizes). 5. Ginger paste (2 tsp). 6. Garlic paste (2 tsp). 7. Slitted green chilli (4 no). 8. Cumin powder (½ tsp). 9. Coriander powder (½ tsp). 10. Red chilli powder (¼ tsp). 11. Turmeric powder (½ tsp). 12. Garam masala 13. Cumin seeds (¼ tsp). 14. 1 bay leaf 15. Garam masala powder (½ tsp). 16. Salt (as per taste). 17. Sugar (as per taste). 18. Mustard oil. Methods of How to Make Prawn Curry: 1. Marinate the prawns with ½ tsp of salt, and ½ tsp of turmeric powder. Keep it for 5 to 10 min. 2. Heat the pan and add mustard oil in it. 3. Fry the prawns nicely. 4. Then fry the potatoes very well. 5. After frying keep 4 tbsp oil in pan. 6. Add ¼ tsp cumin seeds, garam masala, and 1 bay leaf. Fry it for 10 sec. 7. Add chopped onion. Fry till become golden brown. 8. Add sliced tomatoes. Fry for 1 min in medium flame. 9. Add 2 tsp garlic paste, 2 tsp ginger paste, and slitted green chilli. . Fry for 1 min in medium flame. 10. Add ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, and ¼ tsp red chilli powder. Mixed it well. 11. Add ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp sugar. Mixed it well. 12. Add 2 tbsp water and fry it for 2 min in high flame. 13. Add fried prawns and potatoes and fry it for 1 min in high flame. 14. Add 2 cups water. When boiling close the lid for 10 min in medium flame. 15. Now cook in high flame for 3-4 min. 16. Add ½ tsp garam masala powder. 17. Put off gas oven. Close the lid for 5 min. 18. Serve hot prawn curry with hot steamed rice, roti, paratha, luchi etc.
