Renovation Journey Japan Kagoshima Episode 4 - Interior Room Mods

Renovation Journey Japan is a video series documenting our experience of buying, renovating and improving a 96 year-old traditional Japanese house located on the Osumi Peninsula on Sakurajima Bay in Kagoshima, Japan. As we begin our journey, we will assess the condition of house providing needed repairs and incorporating modern and Western improvements to make the house more functional and comfortable. As part of the series we will also explore the geography, culture and people of the area and see what makes Kagoshima unique. In this episode we remove interior screens between two of the rooms, install wall framing, insulation and drywall to create better sound and thermal separation.
