Jeff the Carpathian Shepherd has completed a 4 week Intensive Board and Train course at Adolescent Dogs going h Jeff is a gorgeous, loving dog who is very loyal and eager to please. Before training, his strong guarding instinct meant that he would often bark at anyone / anything he was unsure of when out on walks and being such a large dog this was sometimes alarming for people. Walks were becoming stressful because Jeff couldn’t relax and his owners worried about him scaring people. Jeff’s trainer has worked on building his confidence around novelty and helping him learn to disengage from anything he is unsure of rather than barking and lunging. Jeff’s recall has also improved, he is now able to listen to his owner around distractions and he is calmer around other dogs. Jeff’s impulse control has improved, he has learnt emergency stop and his owners are now able to smoothly move him away from a situation before it becomes a battle.
