In this video I make a chess board out of wenge and curly maple with a multi-layer frame made from wenge, padauk, curly maple, and ebony. The chess board has 2.5” squares. I wore gloves while handling the rough wenge because it's very splintery. It's generally unsafe to be wearing gloves around rotating machinery, but it saved me getting splinters embedded in my hands. I had safety on my mind the entire time.
