Learn more: https://bit.ly/2rukoh3 TwinLab-F 20/40 Multi-purpose twin screw extruder for the food and feed lab How to prepare the extrusion process: - Grind your sample , e. g. with the Brabender Break Mill SM 4: - Install the twin screw extruder - Configure the screws according to application - Insert the screws - Insert side dosing plugs - Close liner - Attach the ringnut adapter - Grease screws with food-appropriate lubricant - Fix the liner with 18 screws - Remove closing plug - Insert dosing plug - Tighten the screws with 30 Nm - Mount the heating tape - Attach the pressure transducer - Attach the stock thermocouple - Screw on bursting pin - Insert copper sealing ring - Connect CAN - Connect the heating tape - Connect the stock thermocouple - Connect the cooling water - Switch on the extruder - To preheat the device, configure the equipment - Select components - Configure heating zones - Preheat the temperature zones - Tighten the pressure transducer, stock thermocouple and bursting pin with 20 Nm - Retighten the screws with 30 Nm - Retighten the 18 liner screws crosswise with 60 Nm - Close the liner cover - Insert the hopper - Attach and tighten the die - Insert a die head which suits your application - Optional: Installation of further stock thermocouple - Connect the control thermocouple and the heating cable - Connect the stock thermocouple - Tighten the stock thermocouple with 20 Nm - Mount cutting device, if necessary - Adjust the distance between blade and die insert - Finish CAN wiring - Retighten the die -- #brabtwinlabf
