Running Roberts Park parkrun after Storm Dudley & Eunice. Flood Course. Saltaire World Heritage Site

Despite Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice's best efforts we managed to run Event 19 at Roberts Park parkrun in Saltaire. The volunteer team, led by the wonderful Sam Swift, managed to host Course D - The Flood Course, so that we could parkrun despite the regular course being partially flooded! Huge thanks to the team for ensuring we all got our parkrun fix. They could easily have cancelled, but chatting to Sam afterwards, I discovered that because parkrun is so beneficial to people's mental health then Sam wanted to do all she could to still deliver the event to the community. Robert's Park is such a beautiful park steeped in the history of Saltaire and is a brilliant place to explore. I strongly encourage you all to visit! Happy running, Nicola :)
