Here is a cracking value GPS watch, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro watch. It's just £315 which is excellent value for money. It's perfect for hiking and backpacking but it's a true multisport gps watch too so you can use it as a running watch or for cycling or in the gym. This Suunto watch finds gps signal quickly and maintains the signal throughout the day. The battery seems to last forever, far better than my Garmin gps watches. They say it will last for 40 hours in GPS mode. I'm not 100% convinced of that but the battery does last a significant amount of time. When not in GPS use it truly lasts for a good few weeks. It's a easy to use multi sport GPS watch. There are less features than others but it's got more than enough for me. The Heart Rate Monitor appears to be accurate and it even has a touch screen too. Charging is really quick. It's lightweight which makes it a great running gps watch.
