Foreign Flea Market Fuels Frenzied Antique Vintage Shopping!

So much cool stuff we just don't see in the USA! We're at the Vancouver, BC flea market in Canada, a longstanding institution where terrific things we don't always see in the states are selling at 30% off the list price (thanks to our strong US dollar). We haven't gotten to explore this place in years, so what will we find that our cross-border collectors will love to see? We show the process of crossing into Canada, with caveats to know before you go, then find plenty to choose up here! Some is familiar, with gobs of beautiful costume and real stone antique jewelry (including a rare Russian piece), Wedgwood and English wares we know and love, and familiar characters like Mr. Peanut and the Beatles that catch our eye. A bejeweled 1930s dresser jar, a Torquay mottoware creamer and a good John Perry double hammerhead figure are coming home with us...but what about things we don't see on our side of the line? The answer comes right away, when we discover a row of Blue Mountain pottery! There's lots of made-in-Canada wares, English surprises and pieces from countries we may (or may not) be allowed to sell in the USA. Ephemera that remembers grand events in Vancouver history (a 1946 Jubilee, Roger Baniester's 4-minute mile and the fabulous Expo '86 World's Fair) delights, and we pick up a few of our favorites to take home., including a fantastic Chalet Chantili art glass basket in vivid 1960s 'Vancouver Orange'! A hard-to-find 1950s map of the Evergreen Playground goes in the van to help lead us back home, as we take a quick look at the amazing world city that Vancouver has become, and feel grateful that we have the option of antique and vintage hunting in our neighbors' back yard. ———————————————————— ☀️ Do you want more info about an item you own?
