The roads, the heat, the dry, the nothingness, no people, just you and the elements. We leave Pupa falls and make the trek across to and down the famous Van Zyl’s Pass, a proper test of man and machine……and trailer. So many people said that we were crazy to try it with our trailer in tow, but a few folks whose knowledge we trust said to give it a bash, so we did. The Marienfluss, which is a desolate valley which lies to the west of the mountains, has been a bucket list location for us for many years and to finally get there, and camp in this unspoilt wilderness is incredible and won’t be forgotten, EVER!
