This is video #033 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy IV: The After Years for the PC. This is episode 4 of Kain's Tale: Return of the Dragoon. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years [PC] Playlist:    • Final Fantasy IV: The After Years [PC...   Previously, Ceodore and the Hooded Man visited Kaipo and explored most of the Underground Waterway on their way to Damcyan. Meanwhile, Kain himself reached Damcyan. Now, Ceodore and the Hooded Man will continue on their way. Overworld: Ceodore and the Hooded Man resume outside the entrance to the second portion of the Underground Waterway. Before heading in, they use another Tent to make it a waxing moon, which will reduce the power of Black Magic. They enter the dungeon. Underground Waterway (time 0:35): The party starts at the Underground Falls. A scene takes place when they reach the edge of the falls. They decide to drop down. Damcyan Castle (time 1:23): Cut to Kain in Damcyan Castle's Throne Room. Some drama takes place with Edward and Rosa. Then, Kain has to fight Edward! Trying to attack Rosa is useless. Edward will go down after two or three Jump attacks, depending on moon phase. Another scene takes place afterwards. Yikes! Underground Waterway (time 5:25): Cut to Ceodore and the Hooded Man on floor B2 of the Underground Lake. Ceodore reaches Level 30. On the southern ledge, chests contain a Potion and a Heavenly Wrath. In the northwest, the party continues upstairs to floor B1. In the southeast, chests contain a Phoenix Down and a Hi-Potion. A scene takes place as the party approaches the northern exit. Really? Another killer squid? After the scene, it is boss time against the Octokraken! It comes with four Octoleeches, which are pairs of tentacles. The concept is similar to the Cooler Mammoth boss in Porom's Tale. The Octoleeches can cast -ara spells and use physical attacks. The Octokraken can regenerate any defeated Octoleeches at will. The party can slow down the enemies' damage output with a Spider Silk at the start of battle. Then, they focus down the Octokraken itself with Cross Slash. During a waxing moon, it is easy to withstand the enemies' magic. At the end of the battle, the Hooded Man reaches Level 30. A scene takes place afterwards. The party leaves the waterway. Overworld (time 14:29): Cutscenes take place as the party emerges. Eventually, we regain control of the party. First, they check out the Enterprise. Enterprise (time 17:18): No one is aboard, so the party goes back ashore. Overworld (time 17:35): The party goes east to the Antlion's Den. Antlion's Den (time 17:52): A scene takes place in the Antlion's Den. The party automatically goes back outside. Overworld (time 18:13): They head northeast to the Impact Crater. Impact Crater (time 18:19): Another scene takes place. Again, the party automatically leaves the area. Overworld (time 18:48): The party enters Damcyan Castle, as they are supposed to. Damcyan Castle (time 19:41): Since Kain has already raided the Damcyan Castle Treasury, there is nothing further for the party to find. But thanks to magical RPG inventory sharing, the party has access to the same pool of items. A scene takes place when the party reaches the Throne Room. They find Cid and Edward. Scenes continue as the Red Wings and the Enterprise both head back to Baron. Overworld (time 26:03): We gain control of Kain outside Baron Castle. He enters the town of Baron. Baron (time 26:07): A scene takes place. Kain is eager to go to the castle, so he leaves town automatically. Overworld (time 26:24): At this point, we can unequip Kain. He enters Baron Castle. Baron Castle (time 26:36): Scenes take over in Baron Castle. Overworld (time 27:57): We soon gain control of Ceodore, the Hooded Man, and Cid near Baron Castle. Cid starts at Level 30. He comes equipped with a Mythril Hammer, a Horned Helmet, Horned Armor, and a Power Armlet. He has the band Machine Break, which involves Cecil, and Rocket Launcher, which involves Ceodore. The party enters the town of Baron. Baron (time 28:27): The party can reexplore Baron for new NPC dialogue. They rest up in the inn. Apparently, strong monsters appear in the Devil's Road during a waning moon. As in Damcyan, Kain has obtained most of the new treasure in the town of Baron. However, in the weapon and armor shop building, the corridor leading behind the counters is now accessible. The chest behind the weapon shop counter contains an X-Potion. The chest behind the armor shop counter contains an Ice Armor. The Hooded Man equips the Ice Armor along with the Flame Shield for fire and ice resistance, respectively. When they have finished reexploring town, they head out. Overworld (time 34:50): The party enters Baron Castle. The description is continued in the comments.
