This is video #034 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy IV: The After Years for the PC. This is episode 1 of The Lunarians' Tale: The Blue Planet That Was. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years [PC] Playlist: • Final Fantasy IV: The After Years [PC... Previously, we concluded Kain's Tale: Return of the Dragoon in epic fashion. Now, we will start The Lunarians' Tale. After resuming, we start our ninth chapter, The Lunarians' Tale: The Blue Planet That Was. Introductory scenes take place, starting in Cecil's Bedchamber in Baron. Then, one takes place in the Observatory in Agart. The Moon: Chamber of Sleep (time 3:41): Next, we transition to the Moon. Golbez is in an unwinnable dream battle against Cecil. At this point, you can quickly unequip the Ebony Blade if you want to use it later in the tale. It will give Golbez a nice intellect boost. The next scene takes place in the Chamber of Sleep. After the scene, we gain control of Golbez. Golbez starts at Level 30. He comes equipped with an Ancient Sword, an Ebony Robe, and a Rune Armlet. He comes with the Black Magic spells Fire, Fira, Firaga, Blizzard, Blizzara, Blizzaga, Thunder, Thundara, Thundaga, and Bio. He equips the Ebony Blade from the dream sequence for better intellect and magic evasion. Golbez checks out the Chamber of Sleep. There are no treasures to find. However, Namingway in the northwest has consumables available. Golbez picks up some Hi-Potions. There is also a save point in the northeast. Golbez takes the northern teleporter. Lunar Subterrane (time 7:22): He emerges on floor B12 of the Lunar Subterrane, the site of the final boss battle in Final Fantasy IV. Nothing so dramatic takes place right now. During the ascent, Golbez does not need to worry about random encounters, though there will be a handful of fixed encounters. However, he will refuse to explore many side paths. The next teleporter takes Golbez up to floor B11. Another save point awaits here. A scene takes place as he continues his ascent. What is happening? Golbez continues up to floor B10. There is a healing tile in the southwest corner. In the northwest of the lowest level, a chest contains a Hi-Potion. In the east of the second level, a chest contains a Tent. In the west of the third level, a chest contains an Adamantite. Golbez continues up to floor B9. On the lowest level, a chest contains an Ether. In the northeast of the third level, a chest contains an X-Potion. Golbez goes up to floor B8. In the northwest of the second level, a chest contains a Phoenix Down. Golbez goes up to floor B7 and leaves the Lunar Core area. He will not enter the eastern or central doors in the southern hallway. As he progresses, he is forced into combat with a Fell Turtle. Blizzara will take it out easily. Fortunately, Golbez can enter the western room in the southern hallway, a save room. After saving, he continues on. Golbez continues upstairs to a connecting hallway. In the northwest of this hall, a chest contains a Phoenix Down. The southern exit takes Golbez to floor B6. A chest just northwest of the door he arrived by contains a Cottage. He will not go over the invisible bridge to the western part of the zone. On the top level, a chest in the west contains a Hi-Potion. A chest in the east contains a Tent. As Golbez approaches the stairway to B5, he is forced into battle with a Flame Knight. A cast of Blizzara will douse his flames. Golbez continues up to the lowest level of floor B5. He will not take the door just northeast of the stairway. However, up the stairway in the southeast, he will find a healing pot. In the northwest of B5's lowest level, a chest contains a Bronze Hourglass. Golbez takes the western doorway to a connecting passage. In the southwest of this passage, a chest contains Mythril Gloves. I would not recommend replacing the Rune Armlet with this. Golbez takes the southeastern exit to the second level of B5. A chest in the east contains a Unicorn Horn. Golbez takes the eastern door to another connecting passage. There are three sections connected by hidden paths. Golbez will not take the southeast door. In the north-central section, a chest contains a Tent. Golbez takes the southwest exit to the third level of B5. In the northwest of this level, a chest contains an Ether. As Golbez starts up the stairway to B4, he is thrust into battle with a Black Lizard. This one will also fall to a Blizzara spell. Golbez goes upstairs to the western part of the lowest level of B4. A chest to the west contains a Hi-Potion. He takes the nearby door to a connecting passageway. In the southwest, a chest contains an X-Potion. In the northeast dead end, a chest contains a White Fang. The new northern door in the east leads to a save room. This would have been so welcome in Final Fantasy IV. The description is continued in the comments.
