Mushaf/ Episode #7/ Urdu novel/ Islamic novel/ Novel by Nimra Ahmad/ Pile of books

Summary of novel: "MUSHAF" This beautiful book is written by Nimra Ahmed who writings are loved by everyone. She has started writing when she was only 9. Some of her published books are, “Meray Khwab meray Jugnoo” and “Saans skin thi”. Every book is worth reading. Nimra is a young Pakistan novelist; her book “Mushaf” was published in 2021 which remained a kind of turning point in her journey towards writing. To be honest, this was the only book that gushed my tears with its sentimental thoughts since she presents the book by referencing the “Holy Quran” with the life of the people. The story in the book revolves around Mehmal Ibrahim who was an orphan and lived in a joint family with her mother. Her family members didn’t give them their due rights nor they give them any share in their property but in fact, they treated him like a slave. Mehmil’s cousin felt jealous of her because she was more beautiful than her and as a result, everyone sent their marriage proposals to Mehmil but not to her. Interestingly, the novel begins with Mehmal on a bus stop where every day she meets with a girl and holds a book which used to be in a black cover and she was in complete hijab from the heat till toe. Once the girl told Mehmil that it was a magical book that changes everyone’s lives, and according to that girl, if she keeps that book, she would have the world in her hand. And if she leaves it, you would lose everything slowly and finally, she would have nothing remaining. By saying these lines, Mehmil’s interest in this book increased and she asked for this. When she got the book, she became angry and frustrated because it was a “Holy Quran” however she was expecting a magical type of book which could help her to change the life. Albeit, her life got changed when she met Fawad who was her cousin. But on the other hand, he was making her fool that he loved him but in fact only playing with her emotions and feelings. Fawad could even do anything wrong with Mehmal when she sold her to Humayoun only for some money but luckily she skips from this situation and runs away. She reached the roof of a madrassah where she met a girl namely Farishtay who was her stepsister, about whom she got to know later on. Humayoun was a police officer who wanted to gather proof for Fawad to arrest him for what he had done. Farishtay was against Hisifa who teaches Quran to the students in a madrassah. Whenever Mehmil and Farishtay talked and discussed Quran Sharif, they knew that it is not a normal book and as a result, Mehmil joins Madrassah and reads Holy Quran. Likely, she remains happy in her life by reciting the Holy Quran because it was fruitful for her and it was interesting as well. After 2 years of the death of her mother, she had to marry Humayoun and she is blessed with a one year only baby son. But unfortunately, luck decides something else for when she meets an accident and she goes to a coma. Because of these misunderstandings, her son hates her and her husband who actually never loved her and these all things were created by only one man Fawad. Fawad wanted to take his revenge and that is why he separated the family and brought hatred among a mother and son. So the story goes on and Farishtay took her place in her family because she loved her husband from the beginning but she sacrificed her love for Mehmil but not now anymore. Mehmil again starts reciting the Holy Quran and prayed to Allah for help and with the passage of time everything got resolved and she had got her son back. The girl who was a part of the Islamic atmosphere and who knew the Quran more deeply lost from the girl Mehmil who forgave everyone and just took her son with her. Farishtay married Humayoun, after a long period of time, her son became a great scholar. She was happy and relaxed in her life and the story ends in the same way as it began with the bus stop but the difference was that now Mehmil was the girl who was holding a holy Quran and repairing the same lines to another girl who was disappointed in her life. Thus, I must say that the novel has an excellent message, brilliant themes, and strong characters including inspiring dialogues. This contains all those things which a reader wishes to see while reading a book. It made me realised how wrong I was by reading the Quran without understanding its meaning. And this book taught me actually how to read the Quran and understand its hidden messages in between the lines.#novel #urdunovel #islaminovel #islamicstory #nimraahmad #novelbyNimraAhmad #mushaf #MushafnovelbyNimraahmad #NemrahAhmad #pileofbooks #famousnovel #topnovel
