Gee Mega Man! How come Exploding Rabbit let you have two characters? And what's up with me playing fan projects that have a clear bias towards this franchise? Bass is similar and also pretty different than Mega Man, his mechanics are better shown in the video than they would be explained here. The main thing I'd like to touch on is his dash. If you cancel it into a jump you'll get an insane amount of air speed until you land or perform a double jump. Utilizing the dash jump is the main thing you need to keep in mind when playing Bass. His Quick Man skin is the skin that changes the most about a character. He moves faster and jumps higher but can't dash or double jump, making him play more like Mega Man. This can cause some muscle memory issues when randomly switching skins between levels. Bass's power-ups are the same as Mega Man's, excluding the lack of Rush Coil. Metal Blades aren't as useful here considering Bass can already shoot in eight directions. Maybe it's just me, but Hard Knuckle seems to do more damage than with Mega Man. (defeating Bowser in just three shots!) In this run 8-2 decided to be even more of a beast, even causing me a Game Over. If you're that kind of person, you can consider this run not completed, I guess.
