If you enjoy cooking Pakistani food and are looking for recipes, videos of LIVE shows, totkas, and other food stories in both Urdu and English, subscribe to this YouTube channel @ https://bit.ly/3ac5djo or go to our website: https://www.masala.tv/ #masalatv #food #masalarecipes #recipe #eveningwithshireen #shireenanwar #dinnerrecipe #lunchrecipe #cooking #fastfood #desifood ------------------------------------------ GAJAR KA HALWA Ingredients Carrots finely grated 1 kg Clarified butter ½ cup heaped Sugar 1 cup Whole dried milk 250 gm Almonds sliced 2 tbsp Pistachios sliced 2 tbsp Silver leaves 2 Green cardamoms 8 Saffron ½ tsp Milk ½ cup METHOD Heat clarified butter, add crushed cardamom, stir for a min, add grated carrots, cook for 10 mins uncovered, cover the pan, reduce the heat, simmer for another 10 mins, add in sugar, fry well till the sugar water dries, add crumbled whole dried milk, almonds, pistachio, cook well, remove in a platter, top with silver leaf and remaining almonds and pistachios. --------------------- PULAO IN A JIFFY Ingredients Oil ½ cup Brown onion ½ cup Bay leaf 1 Black cardamom 1 Green cardamoms 2 White cumin seeds 1 tsp Cinnamon 1 inch piece Cloves 6 Black peppercorns 6 Oil ¾ cup Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp heaped Salt 1 tsp + 1 ½ tsp Coriander seeds crushed 1 tsp Fennel seeds crushed 1 tbsp White cumin crushed 1 tbsp Screw pine water 1 tbsp Nutmeg powder ¼ tsp Mace powder ¼ tsp Green cardamom grinded ½ tsp Chicken 1 kg 12 pcs Oil ¾ cup Yogurt 1 cup Rice 750 gm soaked for 30 mins METHOD Heat oil, add brown onion with whole spices, chicken, ginger garlic paste, fry well for 5 mins, add yogurt and fry well, add in salt, all the grounded spices, fry well, add 4 cups water with 1 ½ tsp salt, when water boiling add the soaked rice, mix, cover and cook on fast flame for 10 mins, when water starts drying, lower the flame, leave it on dum for 15 mins, lastly add grounded mace, nutmeg, green cardamom powder and add kewra, serve with raita.
