Whistle Inn to Furnace Sidings Autocoach Ride - Blaenavon Railway - 13/09/24

Andrew Barclay 1219 'Caledonia Works' was put to work on the Whistle Inn-Big Pit shuttle services on the Blaenavon Railway during the 2024 Steam Gala event. Here, the former GWR Autocoach, on long-term loan from the Llangollen Railway, is used for the shuttles as 'Caledonia Works' runs from the Whistle Inn back down to Furnace Sidings, where Prairie Tank 5552 is seen sitting in Platform 1 resting during the event. The trip is filmed from the rear-view windows of the Autocoach, which gives a view of the track, as well as the front end of 'Caledonia Works'. Filmed by Thomas Coombes on Friday 13th September, 2024
