Sometimes we come across a really rare and very special vintage guitar. This 1958 #GibsonES-335 is one of those guitars. It's a semi-hollow body guitar with two PAF humbucker pickups, Kluson Deluxe tuners, three-way pickup selector switch, independent volume and tone controls. Why is this guitar so special? Because 1958 is the first year that the legendary ES-335 was ever made. Here, Joel plays this vintage Gibson ES-335 through the brand new #ToneKingImperial #MKII combo amplifier. The main different between the MKII and the MKI is the built-in Iron Man Attenuator with a bypass switch so you can still skip the attenuator and run the rhythm channel completely wide-open. Joel uses the Old Blood Noise Black Fountain Delay pedal for some additional effect. The only modification on this Gibson ES-335 is the newly outfitted Callaham Low Pro ABR bridge. The original bridge collapsed but is included in the guitar case (OHSC). The body is very clean for its age with only a few light scratches and a few dings.
