Virtual Lecture Series Xavier Pantig, M S in Medicinal Chemistry Candidate

On Monday, April 15th at 5:30 PM. Graduate Student from NSU's Halmos College of Arts & Sciences, Xavier Pantig, presented a lecture on: "Synthesis of Drugs for Nanoparticle Delivery to Glioblastomas" Xavier is a first-year M.S. student at NSU and a recent graduate from NSU with a bachelor's of science in chemistry in 2023. He currently teaches general chemistry lab and is a licensed pharmacy technician. His interests in pharmaceutics and their unique chemistry in, and out, of the body has brought him to his current research. With the help of faculty in multiple NSU colleges, he is investigating the total synthesis, characterization, and effect of naturally-derived compound homologues on glioblastomas, an aggresive cancer of the brain.
