Jack Helyer plays a 15 minute broadcast on the BBC Midlands in January 1959. It also includes an interview with the announcer. Helyer was the only resident organist at the cinema initially staying for 16 years and then he joined cinema management. He returned for special film runs to play the organ. This broadcast has been carefully restored from an old reel-to-reel tape which was badly disintegrating. However, the quality of the organ can be heard.
