🏆 World Record speedrun of Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath: What Is Rightfully Ours mission; Hard mode, 100% Objectives completed. 🏆 🕹️ Game: Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath 🕹️ Mission: What Is Rightfully Ours 🕹️ Difficulty: Hard 🕹️ Catagory: 100% Objectives completed 🕹️ World Record: Yes 🕹️ Exploit / Glitch: No 🕹️ Time: 7m13s Hey guys, super excited to be back with a NEW YEAR'S WORLD RECORD speedrun! ⏱️ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I again wrestled with the issue of duplicating previous strats for this mission. The previous run used Venom spam, which naturally move faster than Nod ground units and can fly over the difficult terrain of this region with ease, so there is simply no better choice of unit in terms of speed for the first part of the mission. This in turn means investing heavily in Airfields and neglecting both your economy and base defense, resulting in the enivitable destruction of your base. You simply can't drop any other structures and with limited starting credits (8000) it's either exclusively Venoms or ground units, not both. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The issue for the speedrun is capturing the Research Lab as early as possible, which in turn starts the timer for the end of the mission. You must then keep the base's health bar above 50% for the Secondary Objective. It's all pretty simple if you position yourself right. The Intel requirement for this mission also requires you to kill a Steel Talons Harvester and Hammerhead, which are situated at the Steel Talons' base at the North-West. Utilising the Behemouth as early as possible is paramount, as these targets aren't as accessable with our damaged Venoms. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To differentiate myself from the previous run I have employed a different approach to the base and have subsequently engaged the troops there earlier. It's noteworthy that the base patrols are in the perfect position for engagement (which I thought beautifully reminiscent of Tiberian Sun's gameplay and unit composition) and you can therefore drop your Sabateurs into the base earlier. From the initial expenditure position, you may note that I don't use a Mine Drop or attempt to defend the base. That's about it! I hope you guys enjoyed the run - lots more to come for 2024!
