🏆 World Record speedrun of Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath: The Betrayal of Killian Qatar mission; Hard mode, 100% Objectives completed. 🏆 🕹️ Game: Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars 🕹️ Mission: The Betrayal of Killian Qatar 🕹️ Difficulty: Hard 🕹️ Catagory: 100% Objectives completed 🕹️ World Record: Yes 🕹️ Exploit / Glitch: No 🕹️ Time: 9m12s Hey guys, super excited to be back with another WORLD RECORD speedrun, especially after all of this time!!! ⏱️ ⏱️ ⏱️ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How is everyone? I hope you're all doing awesome... ... Diwali has passed recently and Christmas is almost upon us. I hope whomever you are and wherever you are that you're safe and happy at this time of year. For those that aren't, my thoughts go out to you and wish you all the very best. Personally, I've been doing much better recently. The break from content creation has allowed me to deal with some IRL issues and recharge my batteries. I think it's important to take a step back and break the routine now and again; different experiences allow for better health and more creativity! Thank you to all of you who have beared with me over the past few months! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The previous record(s) for this mission allowed the death of the intial Nod Commando and therefore a significant asset for the following Primary Objective of destroying the GDI base. This saves a significant amount of time, even with less favourable Allied Faction RNG on this run (the allied factions did significantly less damage). The Commando can also move and fire, which the previous runs did not take advantage of, which saves much more time. The run is actually quite straight forward and I only faced two issues when attempting the WR. The second was the fact that the game stuttered in part two. I think this was due to the fact that there were far more Allied Nod units than the developers anticipated on occasion - they even actually blocked my path out of the area and to the evac once. The first was RNG. The GDI base was sometimes overcrowded with high-tier units. When it was not, the Allied Nod forces failed to make any significant ground when assaulting the GDI base, leaving my forces overwhelmed. You may notice on the previous run that the Allied Nod Flame Tanks do a lot of damage. For these reasons, I think this run can be beaten with a significant reduction in time. I do not however have the time at present to wait for the RNG Gods to allow it, and therefore we place with a 45s lead. Maybe I'll return to it later.
