As an adjudicator, I have heard many interpretations of “Fur Elise”, and in today’s video I will be discussing what I look for when I am marking this piece in a Festival or Exam. "Fur Elise" by Beethoven (also known as Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor) has three sections in three contrasting characters and I will be reviewing each section to share my suggestions. These suggestions will help you further polish your performance and help you take your interpretation to the next level! To purchase a copy of the sheet music I'm using today, follow the link in the description above. To help you learn this arrangement of Fur Elise, be sure to watch my other videos of this song. We’ve laid this piano tutorial out as a stand-alone video, or as a practice aid to use within an existing lesson system.
