Hello everyone. Use of external utilities i.e., steam increases the cost of the process/plant. To minimize the cost, it is preferred to use heat of one process to meet the heat requirements of other process. This lecture is focused on recovering process heat to avoid use of external utility i.e., Steam. The sour-water is heated from 37.8 °C to 100 °C using the heat of the hot water, leaving the stripper.
