Luckily I had long lost my interest in turning Dojo into anything other than lame combat-wise, besides giving him hind legs! Honestly, X.S. is not much more than a Saturday morning cartoon, with only Chase Young and season 1 Wuya and Jack as truly noteworthy, even if it can be entertaining. And it's a sad shame because it had a lot of potential, and I would've adored it if it were something as grand as A:T.L.A.. Its short-comings inspired me to create an A.U. that was the direct sequel to an A.U. version of the show, but also the revision of season 3, where the four monks wielded the Wu Xing elements; Raimundo wielded fire, Kimiko metal, Omi wood and Clay earth. I also ended up pairing Raimundo with reformed Jack because they seriously turned out to be super compatible! XD My A.U. takes place in a fantasy world where humans, loong and zhuque co-exist, and Hannibal Roy is a loong who was a tyrant of Nuropa centuries ago before he was killed, then brought back without any chi by two witches and a warlock as a joke. Hannibal tricked the four monks into freeing him from his prison in the Yinyang Realm and he teamed up with Wuya. Weeks later, master Fung told them about the fifth dragon to complete their team, the dragon of water, and sent them to find him or her. It was the right time, for the heylin eclipse stirred old yin and old yang, the chi of fire and water, and Dojo could sense it. Raimundo mentioned feeling like “running a training marathon”. In his lab, Jack was inspired to use the Crystal Glasses to see into his own future, how he conquered the world. He saw that he drank one of Chase Young’s lao mang long potions, and become a tyrannical monster who tortured and killed even children; And murdered his own grandmother, the only person in the world who ever cared about him. He was in shock, confused. Was that what true heylin really was? That night, under the heylin eclipse, Wuya and Hannibal overthrew Chase, who escaped before they could kill him, and found an ancient immortal book of heylin spells hidden in his deepest dungeons. At the top of Chase’s palace, Wuya used the book to restore Hannibal’s chi via a ritual they set up, involving a dead loong and a few Shen Gong Wu, which were destroyed in the process, and he unblocked her chi. They killed master Fung, destroyed the Shen Gong Wu, and captured the four monks with Dojo when they returned due to a bad feeling. Wuya used a spell from the book to take away their chi for herself and Hannibal to absorb, except for Raimundo’s, for the spell didn’t work on old yang and old yin. Wuya and Hannibal readied their elements to kill them. Raimundo freed his fellow warriors and himself so that they could retreat when mysterious snipers distracted Wuya and Hannibal. Hannibal chased after Dojo in the sky, only to be stopped by a flock of crows surrounding and pecking him. He yelled out for Chase Young, promising to take his head as a trophy if he ever saw him again. They ran into Jack who was avoiding Wuya’s golems. The monks were barely thankful for Jack’s help, keeping their distance. Although something was up with Jack. He was… Quiet. Dojo could sense old yin in Jack, but the four monks didn’t believe for a second that Jack was to be their fifth member. Remembering master monk Guan, they flied for his temple to ask for his aid. Wuya and Hannibal murdered the president of the eastern country of Hue’Tchin. “Knock-knock, mister president!” a grinning Hannibal had mocked as he had punched through the president’s desk’s window and let himself in. No matter how many forces of the law and the military were sent, Wuya and Hannibal decimated all of them, painting the yard of the presidential palace and the streets with blood, flesh and guts. They tread the streets carrying the president’s head as a trophy, giving the citizens a choice: bow or die. Long live the king and queen.
