Today, we’re exploring Batu Ferringhi in Penang to try out some classic Hainanese flavors at Hainan Treasures! Located along Jalan Sungai Emas near popular beachfront hotels like The Shangri-La and Golden Sands Hotel, this small food stall is a hidden gem for Penang street food lovers. We found Hainan Treasures using Google Maps (luckily the info was up-to-date!) since this stall has recently moved back to Batu Ferringhi from Nagore Road in George Town. With just two dishes on their menu, they keep it simple and do it right – offering only Hainanese Chicken Chop and Spring Rolls (Choon Pneah), both at RM12 each. Open every day from 11am to 7:30pm (except Wednesdays), Hainan Treasures is definitely a place for quality over quantity. Each dish was absolutely delicious, showcasing the skill and dedication they put into perfecting these Hainanese staples.
