An Autumnal Saturday Homemaking ~ Taking Care of What I Already Have

Hello my dears, I’m so glad you’re here! Welcome! Today I want to talk to you about something that has been on my heart lately: biblical stewardship and the importance of finding contentment with what we already have. It started when I realised that I had dropped the ball with our laundry, and we had no clean socks left in the house. My pride told me that I should just buy some more, but God wanted to use it as an opportunity for growth and convicted me saying, “take care of what I have already given you”. This led to a personal deep-dive into the concept of biblical stewardship, and it’s really helped me find contentment and joy in our limited means. We aren’t meant to spend our lives chasing after shiny new stuff, even if it’s non-material things like a new job or moving to the countryside. As we take care of what God has already given us, we can acknowledge him as the ultimate gift giver, and take care of the gifts he lavishly bestows on us. We can open our eyes to all that we already have, instead of becoming discouraged in our lack. So, dear friend, I hope you will be encouraged by this video. As we find contentment in these little things, our spirits can be lifted and joy can be found in homemaking and humbly serving our families. Once again, thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel. As promised, please see the tutorials featured in this video in the “TUTORIAL LINKS” section below :) Blessings, - Jem ♡ ❖ TUTORIAL LINKS ❖ ∙ Ciabatta Buns ∙ https://www.farmhouseonboone.com/sour... The recipe is great but I got the sourdough timing wrong (first rise was too short), they still made delicious garlic bread for a potluck the next day! Don’t be discouraged by your homemaking failures! ∙ Wool washing ∙ Rajiv Surendra’s Tutorial    • How to Wash A Wool Sweater, With Raji...   ∙ ANZAC Biscuits ∙ https://cloudykitchen.com/blog/anzac-... PLEASE make these. Do read the note about the butter if you don’t brown it (use 135g instead of 175g). Also, I have successfully converted them to be vegan/dairy free very easily by substituting ~ 110g of melted coconut oil instead of the butter. ❖ MUSIC❖ ∙ Northwestern ∙ Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/northwestern/hom...
