Some of the exercises you can do also in shallow water, but most exercises are designed for the deeper end of the pool. This pool is not so deep. only 5 ft. my height is 5.5" make sure you have enough room for your legs and feet. If you're able to float (submerged to the neck) in an upright position with your feet NOT touching the bottom - that's good for this workout. VERY IMPORTANT!
