God’s AMAZING Love | Pastor John Torrens

Jesus spoke these powerful words; “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34–35 NKJV) In a world that promotes self-interest and conditional love, Jesus presents a radical, counter-cultural command. His love is selfless, expecting nothing in return, reaching beyond any barriers of race, status, or background. This love is a DIVINE love, empowered by the Holy Spirit, enabling us to love others with the same intensity and purity that Jesus loves us. And the amazing thing about this kind of love, the God-kind of love, is that it is truly transformational! It reflects the very nature of God, who is love (1 John 4:8). It has the power to heal wounds, bridge divides, and bring unity within the body of Christ. And when we love with this “agape” love, we become living expressions of the image of Christ on this earth. And then the world will recognise us as His disciples not by our words alone but by the genuine love we exhibit.
