Sweet New Wine | Pastor John Torrens

There is something very peculiar, different and unusual about us as the people of God. Of all the many things that we could mention, I think the ONE THING that stands out for me, is the fact that we are people of the Spirit, the Sweet New Wine of the Holy Spirit! When Moses sent the twelve spies on a reconnaissance mission into the land of Canaan, the land that flowed with milk and honey, the Bible says in Numbers chapter 13 that they came back with pomegranates, figs and a huge, colossal cluster of grapes that was on one branch and that had to be carried by two men. I find that very significant, I don’t know about you? And the truth of the matter is, that God confirmed this very fact when 120 disciples had gathered together on the Day of Pentecost and suddenly all 120 of them were filled and baptised in the Sweet New Wine of the Spirit. Why? Because we are people of the Spirit and in order to effectively do what God has called us to do, we need the Sweet New Wine of the Spirit. Once again, we are all in readiness to welcome each and every one of you this Sunday to our 8am and 10:30am services as well as all of you jointing us online.
