KINGSBARNS « Coaltown » 2024 VS MACKMYRA « Svensk Rök » 2014 | 2 Peated Single Malts

Hi everyone, I was about to do this video about this sample of the new core range KINGSBARNS « COALTOWN » (a Lowlands Single-Malt Scotch Whisky) that the owning company & indie bottler WEMYSS Malts provided me (as a collaboration, but I explained them how I work, with no pressure & freedom of speech, as usual, this for full transparency…) before the heatwave that made me slow down if not stop reviews. However, meanwhile, I learned about famous Swedish Single Malt Whisky producer MACKMYRA going currently in bankrupcy & it was a shock, as it is the first Swedish distillery I heard of & been trying since 2007 (I tasted so far 35 expressions including unreleased single casks). I have 3 bottles from MACKMYRA, but had to find a way to combine the 2 topics, and therefore, I did thought of a head to head tasting between 2 smoky releases from both distilleries, KINGSBARNS & MACKMYRA., both not being traditionally 100 % peated. I will also, speak about the other Swedish distilleries whiskies I came across. Sorry about this mistake.
