The “More of God”

How do I keep in step with the “more” of God? In this video I am sharing thoughts from a recent spiritual retreat at Manresa Jesuit Retreat Center. Upon returning from that silent retreat, my husband shared some information with me that jarred me. And my first response was fear, anxiety and resistance….but pretty quickly it was replaced with an acceptance and a rising faith that bearing witness with my spirit that all would be well. And that “being well” was not contingent on getting a specific desired outcome. Because in that moment. of initial distress, I simultaneously caught a glimpse of the “more” of God in that moment, in that situation, in all the emotions I was experiencing as due to that news he shared with me. Do you sense that there is “more” to God than you currently know? Are your heart eyes beginning to behold a God that goes beyond your understanding? If so, what is that like? In what ways are you being changed by it? What is being revealed? May I always hunger and thirst for the “more” of God, no matter what. And I pray that you will hunger and thirst for this as well, because we are told that it is our hungering and thirsting for God that we will be filled.
