I missed Round 4, so the 2024 Novice race season picks up where Round 3 left off with Saturday's first race -- Formula 1. The crew is somewhat thinner now that Tony 478, Miguel 227, & Marcus 271 all got bumped to Amateur since my last round. Prior to this race, my best time was a single lap in the high 1:26s during Round 3. In practice on Friday I got down to 1:28s and did the same on Saturday morning's second practice. Trying (unsuccessfully) to catch Anthony on Lap 3 while he tried to catch the Robocop team rider pulled me to a new Personal Best of 1:25.7, which felt like a big upgrade to me. There's a pretty funny screenshot somewhere around 0:28 with Miguel Sr. 581's jump start. You can see the rest of the grid has a breathless moment before he saves it, and neither myself nor Craig 696 roll on the throttle off the start for a good half second. Race got red flagged on lap 6 due to a crash around turns 11/12. Included footage through to pitting in as the rider was doing a little dance with his thumbs up, which I took to mean "I'm fine lol"
