Bob Clampett's Tale of Snorky ("There's No Such Thing as a Sea Serpent")

An unusual one-shot cartoon shown on the Beany and Cecil Show. Snorky was the lead character of an aborted puppet TV show Bob Clampett planned in the 1950s, so when the "Beany and Cecil" animated series was made, Clampett saw the opportunity to bring out Snorky one last time, in the series finale "There's No Such Thing as a Sea Serpent." Told as a folk song, Snorky was the offspring of a Brontosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Snorky's a mud-themed troublemaker wherever he goes, from causing the dinosaurs' extinction with a large belch, terrorizing cavemen, interrupting Cleopatra's suicide (instead she dies of fright!), all the way up to he and his family impersonating the Loch Ness Monster! Irv Shoemaker (the voice of Cecil and Dishonest John) performs the voice of Snorky here, along with that weird alligator-like sea serpent near the end. Also note the crudely-dubbed-in "And now here's Snorky Snorkel in..." during the standard "Bob Clampett" intro (it still reads "BEANY AND CECIL" nonetheless.) Also note when the Triceratops crashes like a car at 3:10, you hear the car wreck sound effects from Nervous Norvus's "Transfusion" and Shangri-Las's "Leader of the Pack!"
