Application of Normal distribution #Credit Music: DittoLtd for "Good for us" Normal distribution is a continuous probability distribution in which the relative frequencies of a continuous variable are distributed according to the normal probability law. In other words, the frequencies are in a symmetrical distribution, distributed evenly about the mean of the distribution. Normal distribution was first discovered by British mathematician De-Movire in 1733. Normal distribution is also known as Gaussian distribution named after Carl Friedrich Gauss. The normal distribution of a variable, when represented graphically, takes the shape of a symmetrical curve, known as the Normal Curve. This curve is asymptotic to x-axis (base line) on its either sides. It is known as Normal Curve of Error as the normal curve is extensively used to describe errors made in repeated measurements. The graph of the associated probability density function is bell-shaped, with a peak at the mean and is known as Gaussian function or bell curve.
