We took my mom to a small village in the hills of Himachal to escape the scorching summer of the Indian plains. The climate there was just perfect and it made for the best family vacation I've ever had in India. One morning we decided to explore the village and the nearby hill on our own and left Annika with my mom. It was a small hike and we spent time in the apple orchards at the top with a guard dog. Annika was super excited to see us on our return. The rest of the day was so peaceful with us relaxing and enjoying food at our homestay at Hill Abode, Laida.
