Homemade transcripted guitar cover of "Capital of Nowhere" taken from The Gathering's "The West Pole" album (2009) in standard E tuning with a capo on the 2nd fret. 0:00 - part 1 - intro 0:37 - part 1 - verse 1 0:57 - part 1 - chorus 1 1:16 - part 1 - verse 2 1:55 - part 1 - chorus 2 3:11 - part 2 About 2 hours of work and 6 takes to get this result. The first The Gathering album without Anneke. Not their best but there are still some good things in it like this one. Nothing technical here, just a few simple riffs and a wonderful voice. I guess the second part of the song was mostly improvised, I tried to make something close but it's a bit different though (and I don't speak about timing issues :D). Sorry for the video quality, it's very cloudy these days here and my recording phone is a crap... Recorded with an iRig2, a smartphone and my Legator N6FS.
