Lubrication is the most common repair for the 400k floppy drive (OA-D34V) used in the Macintosh 128k and Lisa 2 in 1984, as well as the 512k and Macintosh XL in 1985. The lubrication repair shown is usually sufficient to fix most 400k drives because hardened grease has prevents key mechanical parts from moving.
