Kerala Folklore Museum is the only architectural museum in Kerala with the essence of the life and culture of the common man over the past 1000 years🏺. This is a private museum located in Thevara, Kochi, Kerala. George J Thaliath owns this place and has collected various artifacts over the past 25 years🤩. There are around 4000 artifacts from tiny to large size on display. This is a treasure trove of stone🗿, wood, bronze sculptures, ancient terracotta🏺, paintings🖼️, jewellery, tribal and folk art etc. The main building is made of dismantled buildings. It has 3 floors based on 3 architectural schools of Kerala mainly Malabar architecture, Cochin and Travencore architectural schools. It provides an architectural gallery from wooden flooring to ceiling, and upto roofing tile of the ancient constructions😍. ⏰Timing: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 🎟️Ticket: Rs. 100/- (Adults), Rs. 50/- (Children), 📸Camera Ticket: Rs. 100/- This Museum is helping the visitors and enthusiasts to obtain basic information regarding the traditional architectural elements from Kerala.
