Check out the playlist here:   • RWBY project (ongoing)   The first thing I did here was remove the second guitar to instead focus in a single guitar track and double track that. For the intro, I quickly had the idea that I wanted it to crescendo, so I started with just a bass for a dark and not-as aggressive sound to start with and built from that, ending with high flutes doing counterpoint. From there, I started coming up with things for the strings, focusing mostly on the violins with the celli only providing accents for the most part. Once the strings were done, I came up with my own guitar and drum patterns as I almost always do, although it went through a couple of revisions this time, with things ending up too busy during the chorus on the first draft. After the first chorus, I always imagined there being a call and response action between high and low notes, so I put that into action here, although this too went through a couple of revisions until I ended up with something I was satisfied with. Even after the two aforementioned and other revisions, mixing things so that the right elements were in focus at the right time was a challenge, I might just have taken up the most time of all.
