His practice investigates computational design and processes embedded within socio-technological systems. Cailean holds a BSc in Computer Science (2019), and MA in Art and Technology (2021) from the University of Limerick. In his work, Cailean explores emerging technologies, and digital tools to search for new modalities of collaboration with machines in response to the rapidly evolving nature of the human-machine relationship. He is particularly interested in fields such as artificial intelligence, creative coding, web development and interactive media. Currently, he is investigating the emergent behaviours of intelligent agents in the field of reinforcement learning.
