Prince Harry pursing his ‘abiding hatred’ for the media in court

Prince Harry has an “abiding hatred” of certain elements of the media and is pursuing this hatred through the courts, according to former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole. The Duke of Sussex is suing Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail, over allegations his phone was hacked and private investigators were hired to breach his privacy over a series of years. Mr Cole said Prince Harry hated the press since he was a child, always being photographed “sticking his tongue out” at them. “Then of course he had real cause to despise the paparazzi because they pursued his mother to her tragic and terrible death in Paris in 1997, August 31st,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray. Mr Cole added that Prince Harry has not “stopped to consider” whether his pursuit against the media through the courts is wise.
