Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket here on our 2020 Subaru Forester. Now, this can be an excellent way of getting a host of different cargo needs out of our car and up onto our roof system. That way we get as much space in our vehicle as we can for our road trips or any of our excursions that we might be taking. Taking a look at it though, the OffGrid definitely very stylish kind of rack on the top of our Subaru here. I really do like a lot of these middle attachment points. You're getting those nice undercuts too, to make sure we have great systems where a cam buckle straps or a bunch of cables, anything that we might need. Couple things stand out to me as well. You are getting these nice little adapter bars at the top of our grids, so we're not going to be stuck to only transporting cargo. If we do get end up getting this guy has a host of different needs. We could even put a carrier up on this guy. Tons of different accessories. Kayak carriers, anything you might think of, we could actually put on these guys. And what's great about that, of course, we're not going to be just limited to those cargo needs. And we still are going to get a lot of depth on this guy. So as we hop up we'll start taking a closer look at some of the dimensions, but I think you guys can speak for yourself. As I say, this guy does look pretty good here on our Subaru. Well, let's hop up, start taking a closer look. One thing I really like about it, the grin and the bottom here is very well-designed too. Getting a lot of good spacing for our host of our cargo needs. However, still ample room for any kind of weather to drain through. Not going to have any buildup, of course, which is huge for ourselves. Now, it is made of a steel design with a nice powder coat finish on it. So it is going to be very durable up on here, as long as we are treating that powder coat well. It should be lasting us for a very long time. Getting a closer look at these adapter bars too. You can see very, very nice kind of system here. Great for a host if you're going to have different accessories. And as you mentioned too, we are getting a fairing with this guy. This one fairing does a great job of cutting down on a lot of that wind drag, a lot of that wind noise, as we go down. Of course, the axis kind of like a small little bug shield, of course, for this front items, which can be nice. And it's very, very easy to take off. We just have some plastic clips on the end and now you may be asking, "Why would I want to do that" Well, of course, as you can see on the back end here, we actually have this open, kind of, rack system. What's great for this If we have any very long items, whether they'll be paddle boards, lumber, any other kind of needs that we actually want to go ahead and throw in here, can be very easy to remove this fairing at the top here. And that way our entire boards or whatever kind of things that we have in here can stick through all the way. And those are very easy to do with just our little plastic clips on the end to take off. Well, the mounting procedures actually very, very easy and it's one of the systems I really like from Yakima. So we take a look at these footpads here. We can see that these guys just kind of slide open. You're going to have this little metal strip here that is rubber coated going underneath your roof bar system. And these guys can fit on almost anything. Of course, you've got your round square factory and your air bars with no trouble at all. All we have to do is simply spin this guy. And actually that's gonna be pulling that stripping all the way in the inside. Kinda hard to see because it's behind the shield here, guys. I'm just bring it in just really quick for you here. Hopefully you're gonna start seeing that metal bar that is exposed on the inside here. And what that's doing is, is pulling this entire strap close in the end. As you can see now, when I go ahead and latch that down, the more and more I tighten it, harder and harder that strap is going to be to close. And that's going to give us a nice secure fit on our roof bar here. So a little just latch system here sits right in there, kind of goes down and that pad closes back in on itself and it will be nice and secure. One amazing thing with these guys as well, is you can get a security package with
