And it wasn't really a question of if I should do it, honestly I want to do at least 6 more Persona 5 covers because it is hands down one of the best OST's i've ever heard. I knew I wanted to do a palace theme for the next cover and so I let the Patrons cast their votes to decide WHICH theme it would be and lo and behold, the winner was the bonus palace from P5R- Marukis Palace! (I full intend to do at least 2, if not 3 more palace themes lol) I remember being super curious about this mystery palace when we accidentally stumbled upon it and woke Yoshizawas Persona during the main game, and man the writing for this one was incredible. Aesthetically a beautiful palace clean sharp edges all basked in white, very interesting story and musically. Man the music. Such an ethereal relaxing, beautiful, painful piano piece and the story behind Marukis cognition is seriously just so good. It was refreshing to have a palace leader where they weren't an evil jerk. I am very stoked to try out Strikers, and Tactica in November. (along with the P3 remake and P4 Golden eventually) I do know for sure that there will be at least 5 other covers before our next Persona cover between Patreon votes, Halloween covers, and our Diamond tier Patron request! So Year 3 will be the next Persona cover. Question is which one. This cover is a little more "tame" in terms of my usual tracks, I wanted to try to keep that piano essence and haunting beauty without overdoing it. Hence the non shreddy solo too and just nice little motifs. I'm not 100% on this mix, but I have to get 2 more tracks done all by October 7th and I thought it sounded good enough for what it is, hopefully you agree lol. If you haven't tried Persona 5 yet I highly recommend so, it's free on gamepass! Think Sly Cooper meets Pokemon, with some highschool IRL life sim stuff thrown in. Visually stunning, musically a masterpiece, easily an S tier game 10/10. Anyways. I hope you guys enjoy this cover and the Halloween covers coming up!
