"In this episode, we’re expanding our farm with two new plots! 🌱 We start by mowing grass for silage bales using the Krone BiG M450 with PTO and a rear-attached baler, then wrap them with a 240cm bale wrapper. We push the limits until we hit the console bale cap, so we rent an "AutoLoad" trailer to quickly collect and stack the silage bales for fermentation. Next, we break out our 886HP beast of a tractor with the newly bought John Deere plow to create a massive field on our steep terrain. With Precision Farming, we take soil samples, lime the field, and prepare it for next month’s planting. The following month, we kick off the day by harvesting 12 hectares of sorghum, using an auger wagon to transfer crops from the harvester to the truck. We then deliver the sorghum to the grain mill to turn it into flour and later bread. Finally, we plant canola on our new field with the Hatzenbichler Terminator TH18, followed by rolling for maximum yield. We end the month by selling eggs, bread, and clothing for a big income boost!
