Hermes' Lyre (Ancient Greek Music)

Hermes' Lyre is now two years old! Thanks for all the support from my subscribers, in year 3 I have big plans for the channel which is about to develop in new and interesting ways, yet fret not I will still be uploading new pieces of lyre music and ancient Greek recitations. With this piece I am trying to improve my double handed picking skills which has taken a lot of practice, but I am finally starting to play a little less cack handedly! One of the reasons I started playing the lyre was that I damaged my hand a while back and wasn't able to play guitar anymore. Sometimes limits take you in positive musical directions that you would never ordinarily imagine! Although my bad hand limits my finger movements somewhat I hope I am still able to play something worth listening to. You may also notice the improved recording quality on this video, as I have finally got hold of a decent camera instead of recording videos on ipad. I hope the sound quality here better represents how the lyre sounds when you are in the room with it, and I no longer need resort to any artificial reverb effects. Unfortunately, the more acute sound also means more acute background noises, which is something that has been the bane of my attempts to get back to a more tranquil world of pure ataraxia.
