Confirmed: Turbo Inlet Pipes can Break our PCV Systems

This video is about some instrumented testing I've done to discover why peoples' luck with VW MK7 OEM PCV systems seems to be so hit or miss. It turns out the thing that everyone thought was "just a tube" is vital to the factory PCV system working correctly. It rarely shows as an issue when street driving, but for any track rats this might be vital information. The TIP vacuum source will also influence how well a PCV plate system can work as well, so regardless of what setup you have, this video is worth the time. Some charge pipes may have a 1/8npt fitting intended for water/meth injection, or you can possibly use: Mishimoto 1/8" hose/coupler tap: https://www.mishimoto.com/aluminum-1-... Have a bung welded to your charge pipe if it is aluminum If your charge pipe is thick enough, just plain tapping for a 1/8npt fitting (and using some sealant) should work as well. Verify it's not leaking!
