Acanthus for Calligraphers! I decided to make acanthus illustration with the tools I am currently examining. In this way you get to see how applicable this upcoming workshop is. After demonstrating the Uniball set I was sent, just to see how the tools work. It dawned on me they would work wonderfully for the upcoming Acanthus Class. Using the thinner fineliner and then the heavier one to create light and shade is the easier option but the brushpens can do this with more integrity to the line. Adding shade to the leaves and vines with the brown was easy enough. I am looking forward to seeing how I can use the 3 muted colours and then the black for outlining and building modelling.
