Intertitle - 'Like a regiment of cavalry, the 66 horses charged at the first fence - and marvellously enough they all cleared it!' Slow motion M/S as the horses jump the first fence. Various shots in slow motion and normal speed of horses either jumping or falling at a succession of fences. Intertitle - 'at the third fence about ten fell including Darracq and Mount Etna.' Various shots as they jump and fall. Intertitle - 'safely over the first 5 jumps, Bechers (sic) (Beechers) Brook, with its dreaded 3 feet 3 inch drop, is reached.'
